You Can Start Counseling Before Your Life Falls Apart
You Can Start Counseling Before Your Life Falls Apart

Choosing support while you still have choices
Some people postpone counseling because they can still work, parent, or pay the bills. They imagine therapy is reserved for the point when functioning stops. Meanwhile, the cost of getting through ordinary days keeps rising: more avoidance, more irritability, or less connection after the workday ends.
A useful question is whether your current approach is serving you. Are the same arguments returning? Is worry making decisions for you? Have the things you enjoy become things you keep postponing? You do not need to compare your experience with someone else's hardship to decide it deserves attention.
Starting earlier gives you room to describe patterns and experiment with changes. A first goal could be handling one recurring conversation differently or making evenings less dominated by anxious planning. Goals can be modest and concrete; you do not have to commit to explaining your entire history immediately.
Counseling at Infinite Potential can include practical skills and space to understand what is happening. We consider the person, the environment, and the demands around the concern. Reaching out is a chance to discuss fit and options, not a declaration that you have failed to manage life.
